Save The Round Barn

The Round Barn was built around 1900 and has been meticulously cared for by the Lenneman Family since 1914. With the expansion and growth of the small town of St. Michael, about 30 miles northwest of Minneapolis, Minnesota, which included water and sewer services brought to the once rural area, the Lennemans decided to sell their farm to a housing developer. The 64 ft. wide by 60 ft. high Round Barn is such a beautiful structure that the Lennemans didn't want to see it torn down.

We contacted the Lennemans after reading about their barn in the StarTribune, and decided we would like to move it to our organic produce farm where we grow vegetables and herbs for restaurants. We farm with antique equipment and moved and restored a 1900's vintage farm house 2 years earlier, so we thought the Round Barn would be the perfect addition to our farm.

With your help, this century old barn can be saved and moved to a permanent home at Hand N Home farm in Kingston, MN. If the Round Barn is not moved by November 2009 it will be demolished by the developer.

Follow us on our unique journey as we plan, prepare, and move the Round Barn this year. Visit our site often for Round Barn progress, updates, and future events. Also watch for Round Barn merchandise that will be available soon.
We thank you, and look forward to hearing from you.
